Dinos Visvikis – CYBEX GmbH
Dinos is a professional engineer with experience of leading complex vehicle safety research projects to inform changes to policy, regulation and test procedures. He spent 16 years with TRL, where he developed expertise in the use of real-world collision data to determine the cause and mechanism of injury and the effectiveness of vehicle design and safety features. He also performed physical experiments with crash test dummies and undertook biomechanical analyses of the dummy kinematics and measurement data to comment on the risk of injury to humans. During this time, he was a member of several national committees for automotive standards and participated in international regulatory working groups on behalf of the European Commission.
Dinos led TRL’s Child Safety Centre before leaving TRL in January 2015 to take a position with leading child restraint system manufacturer, CYBEX. In this new role, Dinos represents CYBEX (and the Goodbaby Group) in international standardisation and regulatory working groups for child restraint systems. These include the United Nations (UN) Working Party on Passive Safety (GRSP), the UN Informal Group on Child Restraint Systems and ISO SC36/WG2 (Child Restraint Systems).
